This truly is full-on incense, gloriously sharp and resinous, in a much straighter rendition than the brand’s own Louban. Full Incense displays its namesake material, the highest quality harvested in Somalia, in a pared-down, elegant setting designed to echo its complex facets : peppery elemi for the lightly citrusy top notes, patchouli for the earthy woodiness, cedar for the dry, combustible facets and labdanum to stretch out its warmer, balsamic wafts into soft amber. If you’re hooked on olibanum, this just might become your incense of reference: it’s the closest thing to burning the resin (and it won’t set off the fire alarm).
